Most of the article has been unsourced for a while (there was a list of references but no citations, which is effectively useless for verifiability purposes). I've replaced most of the unsourced content with well-sourced material written for the relevant section at
Emirate of Granada. It covers most of the same information, minus a detail or two, but also adding some. It's still short, but it can serve as a starting point for future expansion with more sources. I've kept the former list of uncited references as "Further reading", and anyone can also look at the previous version
here, if they want to look for anything that was removed but that can be re-added with citations.
