While I agree that the article is currently short, the fact that there's a film based on the book due for release in 2010 means that it's likely that there will be a lot more to say on "Mr. Nice" shortly, and that mergeing it at this point would be premature

Normally I'm in favour of merges like this, but the book sold well enough and recieved enough attention to warrant its own article. Though both the bio and the book's article are very poor at the moment. If someone is willing to take either on, I'd be willing to lend a hand. --

I agree. The articles are very badly written (there being almost nothing to the book one) but the book is very well known even aside from the current film.

I'd suggest back merging
Mr Nice with
Mr. Nice/
Mr. Nice (film). If an editor later wants to put in the work and generate the necessary content to have both a book and film article then they can split them out again when the time comes.
The film has been released and it has been months since this was proposed. I'd encourage someone to make the merge or drop the request now or by the end of the month. --
