Awful

God this is awful!

It really needs to be rewritten from scratch, ignoring all the hype and with sourcing of the quality of the Guardian piece. -- Tony Sidaway 04:19, 4 November 2007 (UTC) reply

Split up the articles

I think this should be two seperate articles, Echo Beach and Moving Wallpaper. They are obviously connected, but they are scheduled seperately as being two different shows. Imo it makes more sense to deal with them as being almost like spin offs of each other; and on Wikipedia spin off shows get their own articles. -- 86.148.57.131 ( talk) 19:16, 10 January 2008 (UTC) reply

I concur for the the 2 previous comments, this article has been written poorly, with a title of Moving Wallpaper/ Echo Beach, at leat bother to put an and! But this should just be one page on one of the shows, they should be split, one's a dramedy (comedy drama) and the other's a soap opera, they need to be split. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.7.33.247 ( talk) 23:13, 10 January 2008 (UTC) reply

Agreed completely - perhaps this article should remain to explain the concept of the shows being linked and a brief overview of each but with each programme also having it's own article. That way each of the programmes on this page could have a summary with a link to the main article for each one (i.e. Main Article: Moving Wallpaper). theolimeister ( talk) 14:53, 19 January 2008 (UTC) reply

I have now split up the articles into Moving Wallpaper and Echo Beach, leaving this page as a brief overview of the two shows and their connection. I have also corrected all the redirects so that they now go to either Echo Beach or Moving Wallpaper. Please feel free to edit and change the newly created articles - I only used the information previously on this page and haven't added anything particularly new. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Theolimeister ( talkcontribs) 12:24, 25 January 2008 (UTC) reply

  • I think that having three articles -- Moving Wallpaper/Echo Beach, Moving Wallpaper and Echo Beach -- is overkill. I think we need either one article for both, or two articles, one for each of the shows. At the moment a lot of information is needlessly duplicated and the articles no doubt won't be kept in sync going forward. Anyway, no-one's going to search for "Moving Wallpaper/Echo Beach"; OK this article is linked in the "See Also" sections of the individual articles, but it's not terrible obvious and I suspect many people will never find it. It took me twelve weeks to stumble across it anyway (of course, if there were just one article then we would redirect everything here) 86.133.245.156 ( talk) 01:49, 26 March 2008 (UTC). reply
    • Since there have been no comments in over a year I assume that no-one is especially wedded to this article. Given this, and the fact that MW has now divorced from EB, I'm redirecting this page to Moving Wallpaper. 86.152.242.69 ( talk) 20:46, 11 March 2009 (UTC). reply
