Wallpaper is a generally repetitive, uninteresting picture; if it moved, say by showing it continuously on a TV screen, it would get very boring. This is what many people would say a TV soap is like - the same thing happening repetitively on a TV screen, thus as boring and uninteresting as moving wallpaper. Probably a coincidence, but if you look at the article for the song ' Echo Beach' (used as the theme tune), it says Mark Gane of Martha and the Muffins wrote it while working in a wallpaper factory! Tony Corsini ( talk) 10:28, 22 February 2008 (UTC) reply
