Way back in the day, when I was helping to clean that stuff off of my family's computers, I noticed that the installer was somehow integrated into rogue WMA files that could be obtained through Gnutella. Simply opening the file with Windows Media Player triggered an installation without further notification -- until the intrusive videos demanding payment started coming. I think my experience with the infection accounts for why many people complaining to the Federal Trade Commission had no knowledge of Movieland and the purported agreements on which the company was dunning. Overall, this is a very nice article - well written and well referenced. I have a few questions/comments above, and so I am putting the article on hold until these can be resolved. If you have any questions, drop me a note here on the review page or on my talk page. Dana boomer ( talk) 18:35, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
