Splitting of C. hernandezi from C. taczanowskii is not recognized by any of the major biological databases (such as IUCN, ITIS and MDD) or scientific papers other than
the original description of C. hernandezi. Due to the lack of type material, type locality and precise description, C. hernandezi is nomen nudum (see
Ramírez–Chaves & Solari, 2014). In my opinion, it would be better to move information about C. hernandezi to the mountain pack article until new information becomes available. Considering that over the past eight years there has been no response to criticism, a redescription may never appear.
