I have some trouble with the Weir reference about Pococke, "1745, II:40, who travelled there in 1697". I cannot see that any Pococke travelled to Palestine in 1697?? Huldra ( talk) 09:08, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
Perhaps the article should be moved to Mother-of-Pearl carving in the Bethlehem area, as there were several villages around Bethlehem with a tradition of carving? Huldra ( talk) 22:24, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
This source writes about a World Fair in New York in 1852, but according to List of world's fairs, there was only one in 1853; namely the Exhibition of the Industry of All Nations. Can we assume that 1852 was a printing error? Regards, Huldra ( talk) 22:24, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
