It is not acceptable to redirect Moïse et Pharaon to Mosè in Egitto, and it is bad policy to stubbornly redirect articles on later "versions" of works to articles on the original version. Instead these matters must be judged on a case-by-case basis. Moïse et Pharaon is emphatically not a version of Mosè in Egitto. Similarly Prokofiev's Fourth Symphony of 1947 is not a version of his Fourth Symphony of 1929. Admittedly it makes sense to relate versions of works to each other and, in most cases, to use the original as the anchor. But not in the two cases cited, and there are other examples. The result of current treatment and policy grants Moïse et Pharaon, a large and seminal work, no proper coverage anywhere in Wikipedia. So, let the committee reviewing these matters dispatch members to pay attention to, i.e., listen to, the works themselves and set up the pages, and the redirects, according to the findings. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.229.188.161 ( talk) 09:06, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
