Although Baum was mentioned as being involved in the war effort as part of the War Production Board during World War II, no reliable sources found as of yet state that he served in the military overseas in a war zone during the war. Accordingly, Category:American military personnel of World War II was removed from the article. Semper Fi! FieldMarine ( talk) 12:49, 31 October 2019 (UTC)
Although Category:United States Navy sailors was added to this article, the fact that he joined the navy after graduating from college means he was likely an officer. If confirmed, the more appropriate category is Category:United States Navy officers. Semper fi! FieldMarine ( talk) 13:48, 31 October 2019 (UTC)
