According to this
link, the 2009 class is 10 times the size of the average listed in the article. I can understand it going back a long way, but back to when the school can just one grad? Any school wouldn't have an average that reflects current attendance. For that, you need a "decaying average." In such an average, you discount older data points by multiplying them times a fraction between 0 and 1. The older the point, the less the the weight used.
