@ FreePeoples: Was this page created in order to better organize the information found on the Black people and Mormonism page? It looks well organized. I have been moving any additional information from the Black people and Mormonism page so that in the future, if we do change the page, it will be easier to make sure that none of the information is lost. I was just wondering if there is anything that I could do regarding this page that you feel would help. Thanks! Phelps (BYU) ( talk) 19:21, 17 February 2017 (UTC)
i'm just trying to work on the primary source issue, which is to say that primary sources are up to interpretation, and there seems to be a lot of problems in this article in this regard. for example, i removed this "Joseph Smith taught at one time that slavery of black Africans was justified through the Curse of Ham. While these justifications were common in America at the time, Mormon scripture canonized several aspects of the curses that are now rejected by other Christian religions." the first line i removed is a presumptuous interpretation of a quote, and the second line a removed had no source at all. this whole article has NPOV problems all over it. Hello all,
The article in question [1] references several main articles, among which is this one. However, I'm not so sure the subsection on LDS beliefs most accurately summarizes the information from this page. Any suggestions you may have would be welcome on that talk page where I posted one small edit for the time being. Thanks Thedibster ( talk) 21:05, 6 February 2018 (UTC)

@ Epachamo, you reverted my change and said I needed to explain why the history is complicated with sources. Did you read the linked wikipedia page? I did not change the linked Wikipedia page- it was already linked. (History of slavery in Utah) It literally says the history is complicated, and does not say anywhere that he "helped institute slavery" in Utah! I was simply making this page more accurate, to line up with the page that was already linked. I see no good reason for why you reverted my change, so I went ahead and undid the revert.
