This article frequently seems to be vandalised/edited to add details from an unreliable narrator about a “V6 turbo diesel Short Wheelbase Nissan Patrol” doing “480 km/h in 3rd gear” on its “back legs” passing cars doing “150km/h”. This claim seems to be from an 2019? video of an unreliable narrator exaggerating his experience driving along the bridge in his Nissan Patrol. As seen in a youtube video titled “Patrol v lambo 480kph down Mooney Mooney bridge (funny vid)” — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2406:3400:31F:9FD0:0:0:0:1001 ( talk) 00:55, 3 July 2024 (UTC)
Is it the longest concave bridge. Some dude says so but no sources. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.148.109.253 ( talk) 03:54, 29 March 2018 (UTC)
The article stated "The bridge is the highest road bridge in the southern hemisphere". I wondered if that mean by altitude, by distance to the water level, by distance to the bottom of the creek, or something else. Checking the source provided, it is meant is the distance to the surface of teh water. Therefore, I revised the article to say " The bridge is the highest road bridge in the southern hemisphere as measured from the road bed to the water 75 meters below." This article now states "It is the highest road bridge in the southern hemisphere as measured from the road bed to the water 75 metres (248 feet) below." Bloukrans Bridge states that bridge is in "South Africa" (in the southern hemisphere), "216m above the Bloukrans River", and "Its primary use is that of a road bridge". The article now says "in Australia", so regardless of what the details may be, the original contradiction is

It is worth noting that Australia is the least mountainous and the lowest lying continent of the Southern Hemisphere, parts of the interior being below sea-level. South Africa certainly has a number of higher road bridges on the Garden Route from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth, most notable being the Blaauwkrans Bridge which, at more than 180 metres, hosts the world's highest bungee jump. It is likely that New Zealand and parts of South America also have higher road bridges than any in Australia. http://www.southafrica.net/index.cfm?SitePageID=257&ProvinceID=3 For what its worth, this is a difficult topic to Google as there appear to be no pages directly addressing the topic with comparative data from around the world. A link to such a site would be welcomed. JSC 124.254.80.69 06:42, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
This bridge was built in "mid-air" without scaffolding, the first and for sometime the only such in Australia. Somewhere in my garage I have a DMR document describing how it was done. Would this information be worth including?
There is also an issue of copyright. The DMR does not exist anymore, and hasn't existed for .... what, 20 years? If the document is (C) DMR, how much of it and in what form can be used? Old_Wombat ( talk) 10:23, 26 December 2011 (UTC)
A public document after 20 years in no longer copyright. Please add it!
