I was under the impression that this work was set in Utah, which is rather far from the Mogollon Rim, while I can believe that the atmosphere may be related, can someone give a citation to this? Moheroy 08:15, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
As far as the Board of Geographic Names is concerned, the Mogollon Rim doesn't extend even to the NM border, much less to include the Mogollon Mountains. It could be argued that they both are part of the same large complex of high terrain, but the Mountains are quite far from the region where the Rim is rim-like. So, I changed the approximate length and clarified the difference between Rim and Mountains. If someone has a source that is as good as/better than the BGN and says that the Mountains really are part of the Rim, feel free to edit or discuss. -- Spireguy 04:48, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
This section of article should now be updated: "...eastern portion of the Mogollon Rim was the site of Arizona's largest-known wildfire, during June 2002, the 470,000 acre (1,900 km²) Rodeo-Chediski fire." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aztrailblazzer ( talk • contribs) 14:50, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
