The following is a closed discussion of a
requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a
move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: (
non-admin closure) Procedural close. There is enough support for the article being in namespace that it should not be draftified unilaterally, and the proper forum for discussion of a draftification or deletion is
WP:AFD.

Oppose all confirmed upcoming competition events such as upcoming beauty pageants and upcoming sporting events such as Olympics have wikipedia pages. As you can see
Miss Universe 2021, which is next year's Miss Universe, has a page even though the last Miss Universe
Miss Universe 2020 literally just took place just only yesterday. It has sufficient significance being the most recent and current edition of a beauty pageant.

OPPOSE: Major events such as this will have wiki pages.

Eight96Four:If you wish to
draftify an article, you can do it yourself without going through a move request. (Use a tool like
User:Evad37/MoveToDraft.) Anyone who objects to the draftification may move it back to the main namespace, at which point the article should go through a discussion (article talk page or
AfD) before being draftified again. In this case, there are users opposing this move, so you may no longer draftify this article yourself. Consider withdrawing this request as
RM is not the correct place to evaluate
notability, and list it on
AfD if you still believe it is not notable. ~

Comment I second
Aseleste. It went through PROD and an attempted draftification process. I am of the opinion that this will survive a CSD as well. Thus, shouldn't the next step be AfD? RM is not the right process for this.
