Peacefull99 added yesterday "This internment camp is now a protected site and is visited by tourists." But I was there 3-4 years ago, and saw that the internment camp at Ripples no longer exists and is represented only by a plaque at the base of a hydro tower. So in Ripples there is nothing really to protect or hold tourists for more than 5 minutes.
However in Minto itself there is a very good little museum about the internment camp, located in the municipal building which is visited by tourists and well worth the visit I think. Can this be reworded to make clear that the tourist attraction is in Minto itself rather than at the camp site in Ripples? As of January 1st, 2022 these three communities have been conjoined as "The Municipality of Grand Lake" so I think it should be added to the site- as Minto will no longer be recognized by the province of New Brunswick as a village or town. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hnxkz ( talk • contribs) 13:48, 13 October 2022 (UTC)
