The article True mass states in its definition that it is synonymous with mass. It is merely an adjective plus "mass", meaningful only in contrast to a "minimum mass" (actually the same term is used in many other contexts, but we can deal with that if anyone else wants to disambiguate it), so really needs to be defined here.
