How could MSU have a religious affiliation if it is a state university? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 222.127.10.200 ( talk) 02:49, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

I removed the section on the Mindanao State University System because I believe it deserves a separate space of its own and that the article on MSU Marawi should have an uninterrupted flow of its own also. Levekks ( talk) 10:55, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

As I suspected the self-promotional text in the article is lifted directly from what seems to be the school brochure. This is strictly forbidden.

Someone has added a statement to the lead section of this article from an unregistered account claiming that "President Benigno Aquino III announced that the university will be dissolved in accordance with RA 27897 which will take effect on January 1, 2012." This claim does not cite any verifiable reference, however. I tried to google the said announcements hoping that results would pop up from various credible online news services but none came out. Now here's my question: How could such an announcement of national importance escaped public notice? Oviously this claim also escaped the attention of the university concern since it recently celebrated its Golden Jubilee and administered the System Admission Scholarship Examination for A.Y.2012-13. Therefore such claim has to be inferred as malicious and irresponsible and could make irreparable damage to the university and harm the credibility of Wikipedia.
