This concerns POV tag cleanup. Whenever an POV tag is placed, it is necessary to also post a message in the discussion section stating clearly why it is thought the article does not comply with POV guidelines, and suggestions for how to improve it. This permits discussion and consensus among editors. From WP tag policy: Drive-by tagging is strongly discouraged. The editor who adds the tag must address the issues on the talk page, pointing to specific issues that are actionable within the content policies, namely Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, Wikipedia:Verifiability, Wikipedia:No original research and Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. Simply being of the opinion that a page is not neutral is not sufficient to justify the addition of the tag. Tags should be added as a last resort. Better yet, edit the topic yourself with the improvements. This statement is not a judgement of content, it is only a cleanup of frivolously and/or arbitrarily placed tags. No discussion, no tag. Why is this limited to Vocalion records? She had two #1 songs with Red Norvo's Orchestra in 1938 and one with Benny Goodman's Orchestra in 1940 - these should be listed in this section. Parkwells ( talk) 21:41, 4 July 2017 (UTC)

Her brother Al Rinker was born on December 20, 1907. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JohnRogers ( talk • contribs) 09:22, 2 January 2018 (UTC)
On the 1900 US Census, Mildred was listed as Millard E Rinker alongside her parents Charles D Rinker and Josephine L Rinker. Her birth date was listed on US Census as "Feb 1900."
On the 1910 US census, her age listed as 10, meaning she was born in 1900. FreeLoftus137 ( talk) 10:22, 3 February 2023 (UTC)
I've read many articles about Mildred Bailey's linage which indicate her mother was able to prove herself to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 50% Native America - which was enough for the tribe she was associated with to allow her to claim she belonged to the tribe. However, I have never read anything about Mildred herself claiming to be Native American, nor would I think her "percentage" of Native American blood would allow her to qualify as Native American. Likewise, her brother Al is never claimed to be Native American. A citation would help clarify this issue. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.127.87.190 ( talk) 06:04, 24 July 2020 (UTC)
I found it by Googling the string : Mildred Bailey native American. The tribe recognizes her now. DiamondRemley39 ( talk) 10:42, 24 July 2020 (UTC)
Basic information to add to this article: the name and ethnic heritage/ancestry of Mildred Bailey's father. 173.88.246.138 ( talk) 05:26, 27 December 2021 (UTC)
