Somebody has said Mickey is technical director of sport tracker or something. However, on the Ballymun road in Dublin there is a very large picture of Mickey Harte in the window of the Ballymun office of auctioneer, Martin Shortt (opposite the Days Hotel). Below the picture it says Manager. Can anybody clarify the situation? 86.42.119.12 ( talk) 16:22, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
I just changed his start date to 2002, as this was the year he started managing the county team, but 2003 was the first All-Ireland campaign. Should it be changed back? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.46.199.57 ( talk) 20:24, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
The infobox is screwed up somehow. I had to remove the date of birth line because when the date of birth had the year 1954 in it (which, btw, is quite sketchy), it somehow automatically created the following category, Category:1954 in Gaelic games. I have removed the references to Michaela Harte's "murder", as the reference cited does not mention murder. Also, to my mind, even if newspapers call it murder, we shouldn't until someone has been found guilty. The OED defines murder as "the unlawful premeditated killing of one person by another", and the only reliable source of whether one particular killing is premeditated is a court judgement (or secondary source of that). I suggest that we call it a killing until a trial is over. Quasihuman ( talk) 23:07, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

There is no citation for the quotation apparently taken from the character reference Harte gave in favour of convicted rapist Ronan McCusker. The quotation seems closer to a trial statement by McCusker's barrister, which was reported in various media outlets (e.g. Irish Independent https://www.independent.ie/irish-news/courts/tyrone-boss-harte-gives-reference-for-sex-attacker-29078997.html and Belfast Telegraph https://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/northern-ireland/mickey-harte-under-fire-over-reference-for-sex-attacker-who-assaulted-woman-29079197.html). If anyone has an accurate quotation from Harte's statement could they insert and cite it? Otherwise I propose to reword the section to more closely align with reports on Harte's character reference for McCusker.
