I have not read anywhere of Mick Hucknall being from a Jewish background (as was previously stated on this article ). His father, Reg, hailed from Barrow in Furness ( My Dad used to work with him ), whilst Mick's mother was of Irish extraction. He is almost certainly not of Jewish extraction. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Burynew ( talk • contribs) 04:20, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
No it's not. And he is. :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.208.161.217 ( talk) 07:55, 17 November 2019 (UTC)
Mick Hucknall is known as quite a ladies' man. Would it be worth mentioning it somewhere in the article? Rogwan 07:00, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
He has not died, it's just vandalism. 20/11/06 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.130.92.232 ( talk) 14:20, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
I can find no reference ANYWHERE on the web to Mick Hucknall's death. Today is 20 November and Wiki has his death listed as 1am (GMT) on 18 November 2006. His official fan forum is chatting as usual, his official web site carries no news of his death, and the BBC is completely silent on the matter.(I am in the UK.) Is this some sicko's idea of a joke?????? It isn't funny; and the reputation of Wikipedia is at stake here. Someone, in authority, needs to look at this urgently. I can find no reference to him being related to Dawn French either. Vandalism? DannyIndigo 12:29, 21 November 2006 (UTC) it does'nt say he died actually!. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.170.207.7 ( talk) 03:22, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

He and his father lived very briefly in Bredbury before settling in Denton, where he grew up. He attended Audenshaw Grammar School for Boys.
His first great or semi-great band wasn't Simply Red. He began to release recorded material, with a like Magazine/ Joy Division post-punk band, a bit closer to Adam and the Ants. A video (homemade?) of one song can be seen on youtube. Francodamned ( talk) 19:59, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
I thought Mick played guitar, but there is no mentioning of this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.160.69.231 ( talk) 15:09, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

He was supposed to be 50 years old on that 2010 photograph? Looks like 66 to me ... There are better photos of him around, "even" of the 2010s. -andy 2.242.86.57 ( talk) 11:53, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

Quote from Mick that should be added to his Wiki Bio : "My mother's family is Irish, and also my grandmother on my father's side I found out last year," he explains, with a flash of the ruby embedded in a front tooth. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:e000:d2cd:c800:2595:4908:5e6d:78b7 ( talk) 21:12, 12 October 2019 (UTC)
