"As CEO of Maple Leaf Foods, McCain's handling of the 2008 listeria outbreak with frank and open communications made him a role model for crisis management. 14"
This is clearly promotional language and the source given is dead. This is a Wikipedia article, not a resume. Feel free to quote an external source regarding the handling of the listeria outbreak, but don't state it as fact without any source.

Today an IP removed McCain's birthdate, stating "Michael McCain requested that his date of birth be removed." McCain doesn't own the page even though it's about him, and WP:DOB guides the privacy of birthdates of people deemed notable.
Having said that, I worked to cite the 1951 birthdate and couldn't find it. I discovered he was actually born in 1958 and confirmed the actual day. Sources are somewhat light but I'm confident between the two, which are highly reliable. Putting it here in case there's further discussion necessary. tedder ( talk) 17:09, 16 January 2020 (UTC)
Globe and Mail has too many ties to Maple Leaf Foods to be considered a credible source here [1]. Furthermore, many of the articles cited here have circular connections to firms like Veritas Communications or Smithcom and even the case studies of the event in question have research performed by Smithcom employees which retained Maple Leaf Foods as a client [2]. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bleepenvoy ( talk • contribs) 11:34, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
