The article mentions that Eugenia Gray died of "underage consumption" with a corresponding link to an article on "Alcohol consumption by youth in the United States". However, the reference cited only mentions consumption (a very common euphemism for tuberculosis at the time) without the "underage". It is, therefore, more than likely that the author of the passage was confused regarding the meaning of consumption in this context.
