Dan's graduate degree from West Point is an MA in leadership development, which is akin to Mercyhurst's OL program. He does not have an MBA, although an MBA would support his chosen field better. [ [1]]
Bill has not completed all the degree requirements and so has not been officially awarded a graduate degree from Mercyhurst yet. Neither he nor the institute should be saying that he has the degree.

Welch has received the degree as of 22 January 2007.
It's generally unacceptable to delete comments from talk pages, except when removing something offensive. Once the comments are made, they are part of the public discourse. Before editing, it's a good idea to read the
Talk Page Guidelines, especially the section on
unacceptable behavior. The deleted comments have been restored. --

I have begun a rework of this useful page to make the entry appear a bit less like the school's own web page and bit more encyclopedic in nature. Style guidelines exist in Wiki, but you can also view samples at Goucher College for a small school or Pace University for a more sizable school with a lot of complexity, including heavy sourcing, on its page.
I was able to retain a considerable amount of the posted data and augmented it with facts derived, ironically, from the school's website, as well as a radio interview of the Director of Intelligence Studies in 2006 [see links already found on the page]. I intend to seek out additional non-school related sources, including the Erie Times-News and, if possible, the Washington Post and/or NYT for comments on the MCIIS program. If anyone has suggestions for sources to promote this process, add them to this page or include the details on the main page.
I removed the individual staff listings, which are more appropriate on the school web site, not in an encyclopedia. I'm not convinced the Post Graduation section has merit. Arguments in its favor are welcome, but I believe a more complex Alumni section would be more appropriate.
Be aware that there is a Wiki process for adding images to this or any page. Check into the process, but I believe a Wiki form exists which you can present to the owner of the image to gain permission for Wiki to use the image. Note that a Wiki notice has been posted explaining that the image was removed.
