There is conflicting information here. The boilerplate capsule and Redstone did not separate. Still, in the mission timeline, they have been listed as separated, and the capsule landing normally. 82.181.76.172 ( talk) 19:58, 27 March 2009 (UTC) reply

Were the mission and its purpose made known before the launch? Was the launch televised? I ask because of the section describing the Soviet view of it as a failure, the capsule not separating. CountMacula ( talk) 01:36, 9 February 2015 (UTC) reply
