I am really surprised that there isn't a section about all those kids that went missing over the years. To quote the Dictionary of Wisconsin History entry for Caddie Woodlawn (Historic Marker Erected 1970):
[Source: McBride, Sarah Davis. History Just Ahead (Madison:WHS, 1999).] [1] While her name was not technically "Caddie Woodlawn", she definitely did exist, and her family's homestead is still there. I am, therefore, rewording this bit about her. Tom e r talk 03:22, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
