Is this really the best photograph that we can find of the Memphis Tennessee Temple? It doesn't even show the temple, just the sign. Is there a better free-use one out there? Sogospelman ( talk) 17:30, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
Among large cities in the U.S., Memphis has the second largest black population. The suburbs of Memphis (like elsewhere in the U.S.) largely grew in size due to white flight---i.e., white people who didn't want to live next to black people. It is significant that the LDS church chose to name a temple the Memphis Temple but locate it as far away from the African American population in Memphis as possible. It violates a neutral point of view to simply ignore this fact. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.129.127.46 ( talk) 01:14, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
