not even close to his correct height when playing the part. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.79.225.184 ( talk) 17:43, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
The story I believe I recall more or less corectly that he told was this:
When he applied for an accounting position, the interview ended quickly when the boss said, "You should be in a circus!"
Raabe said that in fact it was he who pitched the idea of his being the Oscar Mayer spokesman to the company -- an impressive story.-- Jrm2007 ( talk) 10:54, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
The death section says "He died at a medical center in nearby Orange Park, Florida, on April 9, 2010, at the age of 94 after going into cardiac arrest as averred by the local coroner," with a link to a First Coast News story [1].
The cited article actually states "Riegel said doctors believe, but have not confirmed, Raabe suffered a heart attack."
NYT also wrote that cause of death was never confirmed: "...the cause had not been officially determined but that it was presumed to be a heart attack" [2]
I think it's a funny line, but I wonder if it's appropriate to include it, since it's not strictly the truth. 141.161.13.155 ( talk) 20:50, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
