When religiously orientated Turks are talking about Hz. Mehdi, I am fairly confident that it is not one of these footballers, DJ's, film producers or sodomites that they have in mind . Article says Mehdi are in general originating from Iran, that's not completely correct. The name Mahdi (Arabic: مهدي) with an E (Mehdi) is also the common spelling of the name in Turkey and Tunisia.
