I disagree with the content of this article. In the UK a medium-speed diesel engine is one running between 500 and 1,000 rpm. I'm not aware of any diesel engine which exceeds 3,000 rpm because of the time taken for the air and fuel to mix. Model aircraft engines go up to about 15,000 rpm but they are not true diesels because the air and fuel is pre-mixed. Biscuittin ( talk) 19:38, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
