In the cultural references section it mentions that choking Franklin is similar to Homer choking Bart... That's an idiotic statement. It actually refers to the 70's show Soap, where Burt Campbell chokes his son Chuck's puppet Bob. Soap was created by Susan Harris, who then created The Golden Girls, where she worked with Jim Vallely-a writer/producer on Soap, The Golden Girls, Arrested Development, and Modern Family. If you watch both shows, you'll notice many similarities between the two. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.106.242.150 ( talk) 06:24, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
Current version of the article states that the epsisode title is a reference to the film Meet the Parents. What is the source for that, if any? The plot of the episode actually has little relation to the plot of the film Meet the Parents. It’s more likely that the episode title is a play on Meet the Beatles! since "Veals" sounds like "Beatles". -- Mathew5000 11:15, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
Could it be something as simple as Veal being a Meat? Lewiscode ( talk) 22:04, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
Under the 'cameos' section, why does Simon Helberg have his other work cited while the other cameos dont? I think the '(formerly a MADtv feature player and now known from the popular CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory) plays Jeff in the scenes at Maeby's workplace' bit does not need to be included. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.121.18.254 ( talk) 20:20, 22 May 2013 (UTC)
