Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought I read about a hybrid variant only for Japan? I couldn't find it in the article anywhere, and I think it might be important. Sagquattro2009 ( talk) 15:12, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
@ Vauxford: I don't get the message, what's more distractive in the images you replaced. I see more or less the same background. Could you please explain? I don't see any improvement.-- Alexander-93 ( talk) 12:43, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
There is a disagreement about the images listed below. Two were replaced with two others at the end of February. I think the replacement was not necessary and to avoid an edit-war, I'm asking for a third opinion. All images are not perfect and have some distractions: The arguments against the replaced pictures: more noisy, washed out, uncalm background. The arguments against the current pictures: reflections on the hood with an uneven color gradient, slightly tilted vehicle, price tag in the red car, advertisement at the store window, visible COVID-rules in the showroom. Thanks in advance. P.S. @ Vauxford: Please feel free to add more arguments.-- Alexander-93 ( talk) 20:06, 16 March 2021 (UTC)
3O Response: Bravo for seeking a 3rd opinion. All the pictures look OK to my not-particularly-special eyes. I have a mild preference towards the Current pictures because the colour saturation is 'punchier' and there is no number plate visible. It's only a mild preference because the red car(s) in the backgrounds are a bit of a distraction. There's not a strong case either way, and I would recommend you don't rely solely on this opinion, and consequently I haven't deleted the link to here from the 3O page. (Perhaps get a couple more opinions, or wait a day then delete the link to here from the 3O page?) I applaud your spirit. Chumpih. ( talk) 05:28, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
3O Response: Focusing on the car itself only as the car is the main point of the image placement, the car in the new pictures seems to be newer and does not have license plates. The color saturation in the new picture makes it look nicer, though this difference could be migrated via editing. I am indifferent to the different tilt of the car. As for the environment, it might be possible to edit the pictures and blur the background a bit on both pictures so that it looks like the background was out of focused and will not matter in this case, but otherwise I do not think it matters much considering the size of the pictures in the article. ~ Aseleste ( t, e | c, l) 08:49, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
General comment These pictures are of both RHD and LHD models. If it matters I would think here you might want to lean RHD if possible. Sammy D III ( talk) 12:53, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
The pic of the car with the Esslingen number plates looks better to me: Less reflections, better illumination, and much better viewing angle. Best, -- Johannes ( Talk) ( Contribs) ( Articles) 00:23, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
I'm saying that your photograph has neither well lit shadows, nor was it taken from an ideal angle. By angle I'm referring to the position of the camera in relation to the car's steering angle. Best, -- Johannes ( Talk) ( Contribs) ( Articles) 14:34, 20 March 2021 (UTC)

Commentary Semi off-topic but I remember a few years ago I got into a dispute with this same person over photos regarding the Audi Q3. However, on that discussion, users were basically saying "bright colours and correct angle = bad" and as a result they kept the (IMO) god awful dull grey dark one and horrible angle as the main picture! So what I'm seeing is a flip-flop of preference of which photo is better. I wish more people from the Automobile project to have their own thought but because I cried wolf so much they just stopped caring. -- Vauxford ( talk) 14:14, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
