I reviewed this article for DYK nomination. Following issues need to be clarified or corrected:
Born in political family, she joined politics and elected as an MLA of Malda constituency when her mother and an incumbent MLA of Malda, Rubi Noor died. She was elected to Loksabha from XYZ constituency. She left INC and joined TMC in January 2019.All other details should go in the article.- Nizil ( talk) 13:50, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
Upon joining the party, Noor said "I am inspired by Didi [Banerjee]. I'll work under her guidance for the development of the state. We have to fight against the BJP and I am quite confident that the TMC [Trianmool Congress] will win all the 42 seats in West Bengal in the coming Lok Sabha elections".[27] In a press conference, Pradesh Congress President Somen Mitra said that she was an opportunist and would loose the upcoming election. She became the first ever sitting MP of the Congress party to join Trinamool. This sentence is not required and is excessive detail.
( talk) 11:47, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
In August 2018, Noor wrote letters to both Commmunist Party of India (Marxist) and Trinamool Congress, requesting them to support to her party's panchayat members to form panchayat governments in villages where Congress party had a simple majority. In return, she promised that her party would also support these two parties to form panchayat government in villages where they had a simple majority. She said that she wanted to prevent Bharatiya Janata Party, a "comunnal political party" to form panchayat governments in villages. She also said that she had taken this decision keeping in mind the need to create a grand alliance of political parties under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi ahead of the 2019 Indian general election.,
In that rally, 14 panchayat members and one councillor of English Bazaar joined Trinamool.,
Following her win, student groupsfrom Malda wrote to the party president Sonia Gandhi and demanded that a ministry must be given to Noor. These are also unnecessary bloating.
Subsequently Trinamool leader Partha Chatterjee invited her to join the party. However, later in that month, while speaking to a local news channel, she ruled out joining Trinamool.seems unnecessary. I think copyedit by other editor will remove a lot of detailed info.- Nizil ( talk) 13:50, 8 February 2019 (UTC)
