Talking about two Maura Laws?
I think the Maura Law which talk about land was promulgated the next year, that is, in 1894. The popular Maura Law in Philippine history textbooks is that of 1893, which reformed local government in the Philippines. I'm not sure about this though; I'm just registering my idea here so that more knowledgeable people could take notice. --
