Rathfelder, that consecration was abbatial. I'm genuinely unsure whether a late 13th-century French abbot was normally a priest, but I can't find mention of his being a priest in Jordan. Couldn't we just get a category for 13th-century French Roman Catholic monks
or abbots?

Very happy with that. I know little about the subject - I'm just trying to sort out categories. There are quite a lot of
Category:French abbots, so they could be split by century but I cant say that I like
Category:French Christian religious leaders as a parent. That is not a term used in articles, nor in books.
Abbot doesnt really say anything about whether abbots were regarded as priests.
