As mentioned, the Mass was composed 1868, and revised several times: 1876, 1877, 1881–83 and 1890–93.
It is a complex situation:
It is not always obvious to know which edition is used by a recording. The older recordings are mainly using the Haas edition or a variant of it. The most recent recordings presumably are mainly using the Nowak edition. A few recordings however, as by Andrievskyi, [1] are apparently still using the Woess edition. A few others, as by Ricardo Luna, [2] are actually using the Hawkshaw new edition.
There is as yet no edition or recording of the original version of 1868. -- Réginald alias Meneerke bloem ( To reply) 11:08, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
I have restructured the lay-out of the page. I am now updating its different sections, according to van Zwol's and Harten's handbooks. I will later also add info coming from Max Auer's book. -- Réginald alias Meneerke bloem ( To reply) 08:21, 30 September 2015 (UTC)
