Is beloved an appropriate word for Wikipedia?

The explanation is doubtless because apostrophisation was not yet standard for possessives in English in the 1600s. Neither was American English; and Wikipedia seems unduly addicted to doing that, too. Nuttyskin ( talk) 02:09, 4 July 2018 (UTC) reply
