Moxley's date of death is not definitive because the exact time of death never was determined. Originally it was thought to be around 10:00pm on October 30, 1975, but later investigations raised the possibility she was murdered after midnight.

Good observation. That issue was in fact central to the case, since Michael Skakel was initially disregarded as a suspect due to a ten o'clock alibi.
