I have re-written the article and have added a history section and references. More needs to be added to the history section, but I'm too bushed right now to continue. Sources to be added include Statues of Canada on The Scarborough and Markham Plank-road Company and Scarborough Community Names from the Scarborough Historical Society, which has a few details about early communities on the route and their development vis-à-vis the road.-- papageno ( talk) 08:20, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
