I realize that an encyclopedia article for every casualty of the war in Afghanistan, let alone every war ever fought is a foolish notion, so I can understand if anybody would question the reason for creating an article for a Canadian Private. I figured that the nature of his death, and his previous career as an Olympic athlete, warranted the creation.

Given the result of the
WP:AfD debates on recent articles I nominated for deletion on other military figures, I suspect this one would also survive a nomination. Hopefully other information will be brought to light to round out the article. Thanks for posting your thoughts here.
