As the redirect has been controversial, I believe discussing the notability issue would be more appropriate than to keep reverting edits to create/remove the redirect and edit warring when users clearly do not agree on the redirect.
My opinion is to keep the article. The original references include some well-established Japanese newspapers ( Sankei Shimbun, Nikkei Sports, etc), and the references I added most recently ( 11:40, 15 July 2022) include some similarly well-established Taiwanese news sources ( Central News Agency, Formosa Television, etc). I do not see how these sources would not make her notable enough.
