Possibly it should be noted that in 1908 the Greek government wanted to annex all of Albania, and therefore the official policy was that there are no Albanians, only Greeks who spoke Albanian. The above statement is therefore more a reflection of Greek politics at the time, rather than any accurate assessment of culture.
