I moved the article to Malcolm Kela Smith, because it's vastly more common than "Malcolm Smith" and doesn't need extensive disambiguation. I saw the article and went "who on earth is Malcolm Smith?" and then read through and went "oh, they mean Malcolm Kela Smith". The Drover's Wife ( talk) 13:15, 10 April 2021 (UTC) reply

Per the ABC it's "Malcolm 'Kela' Smith", and I'm still wondering what the hell 'Kela' means or stands for. I found about four variation of his name on WP, and went around and standardised on that version. Is 'Kela' a PNG title or nickname?
The disambiguation was because there are US & British politicians called Malcolm Smith, and I didn't have Roy for his middle name then. 220 of ßorg 15:12, 10 April 2021 (UTC) reply
No idea where the "Kela" name came from, but he's most commonly referred to as "Malcolm Kela Smith" or "Malcolm Smith-Kela" in PNG sources. The Drover's Wife ( talk) 02:57, 11 April 2021 (UTC) reply
Looks like he took the name because "Kela" means 'bald' in Tok Pisin. [1] -- Canley ( talk) 03:09, 11 April 2021 (UTC) reply
Ah, here too. I might have to add that to my pseudo-name. ;-| 220-'Kela' of ßorg 09:50, 11 April 2021 (UTC) reply
