The result of the move request was: No consensus has managed to form over which name is the most common English name for the square. However, both supporters and opposers agree that something with "Maidan" is the most recognizable in English. — Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (

Oppose The name appears in thousands of English-language sources.
"Maidan Nezalezhnosti" -Wikipedia: “Page 44 of about 2,120”. If you want to change it, please relate it to Wikipedia guidelines and present some factual evidence to support the argument. The rationale appears to be equivalent to
WP:IDONTLIKE to me. I don’t doubt the abbreviated Maidan sees more use, but it also has dozens of other meanings, so the
WP:CRITERIA of recognizability and precision support using the full name. —MichaelZ.19:59, 4 March 2022 (UTC)reply
Support either to proposed title or to
Maidan Square as English-language sources seem to be split between the two. The present title, however, does not seem to be widely used. (Got this from a quick Google News search). - CHAMPION(
