@ MaxA-Matrix: Seems like it. This scholarly source considers Mahali and Mahli to be synonymous and the Ethnologue source used here is also of the Mahali langauge. However in 2009, User:GDibyendu removed a redirect to this article and made a separate [ Mahali article] claiming that Mahali and Mahli are different people.
