I'm reverting the past few edits because they clearly do not maintain an objective summary, and are not substantive to the encyclopædic entry for this town.
My last edit maintains a neutral account of fact under the section "Syrian Civil War" without entering into a detailed chronology.
If you wish to add a separate section or separate page, you are welcome to. But keep the page neutral.
