Take it from me , that is EXACTLY what life in Macclesfield consists of, i have lived here for the past 23 years and i should know.
Seconded.
A Wiki should really be an edited article from users who have an intimate knowledge of the subject in question. It is highly questionable to edit first-hand information so that it fits the well-rounded middle-class readership. Mind your p`s and Q`s? How exactly does an encyclopedia deal with a genre of abuse and language? Bollocks to that. How about some context?
I've no objection to the context and content I at all, but it just needs tightening up and more detail given - for example it reads in some places as if the Macc Lads are still touring. If this is so, which members are doing it?
Macc Lads are not touring still. The guy earlier this year was a fake. I agree the wiki needs tidying up though. I run a fan site for this band, and spent years researching them and there work, including meeting with various band members. I will try to make this better. However language wise The Macc Lads really were not angels. I mean even some album titles are going to offend some. This is before you start mentioning there history. I mean do you leave out the court case where the band were taken to court for having a fake plastic dog poo in there shop window? Truth is middle aged church go'ers are not going to be searching for the Macc Lads are they?-- Catten666 13:31, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
I went to see this bloke in Brighton. I was really annoyed the only reason I went to the gig was to see the Macc Lads. I felt completely ripped off. He was introduced as 'Bad Manners tribute to the Macc Lads' (this was most certainly not on the advertisements for the gig) and it was some cockney bloke (so I'd be very suprised if he was ever anything to do with the Macc Lads, unless they had roadies from London). Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to question him about it as I shouted abuse it him till I was thrown out. I assume Bad Manners just wanted to get extra people to the gigs so got some fat idiot to cover a few Macc Lads songs but 'forgot' to make that clear. I bet I wasn't the only person who only went becuase it was supposed to be the Macc Lads. If I wasn't such a lazy idiot I'd try to get my money back. I get the impression that the Macc Lads wont ever tour again which is a great shame. I don't blame them mind, they must be psuhing 40's now and I doubt they can be arsed to spend an evening getting covered in mucas even if it does turn up a few grand. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 157.84.1.3 ( talk) 13:15, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

I didn't put it there, but I do agree with it. The article definitely needs cleaning up, especially in its structure - which is all over the place - and in its lack of encyclopedic tone. The lead section is pretty good: if the rest could match up to that, this would be a good article. Phrases like "In a rather complicated family tree that would put the Royal Family to shame" are colourful, but are for fansites and fanzines, not encyclopedias. The article also needs inline citations, so that specific claims can be verified. (Hence the "additional citations needed" tag.) 81.158.0.164 ( talk) 16:41, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
Most amusing of all is that "Muttley McLadd" and "The Beater" are really called Tristan and Geoffrey LOL —Preceding
