There is absolutely no reason why this article must be split into a separate article for the history alone. This page is 12kb long which does not violate WP:SIZE. Split, there is a main article of 3.9kb and a subarticle of 8kb. Why must they be split? This article should be moved (renamed) to MLB Network Showcase, as that is the title for the special evening broadcast of a MLB game ^[1]. Also, MLB Network has programs with every other day (Sunday, Monday, etc.) and they use both "Afternoon" and "Night" for their regional coverage of MLB games simulcasted from the local broadcast companies.
