Wow...this mushroom is cool looking. In edibility, is it no longer edible with age because the brown spines are just too hard or unpleasent to be eaten as opposed to when they're white/young/soft; or does aging make them like 'biochemically' (for my lack of a better term) indigestible/unpalatable/inedible etc.? Maybe some fleshing out of why that may be. Also, next to the image of the white young specimen, how about an image of another mature brown one right next to it. A side-by-side or above-below comparison would look interesting. I sort of like Image:Lycoperdon echinatum 02.jpg, but you may have a better choice in mind.
