Ethnologue classifies the Luhya languages differently than presented in the article. No sources are cited in the article in regards to the sub-tribes or languages (or anything else for that matter). The following is the linguistic tree as outlined on Ethnologue:

Not that I got any first hand exposure, but I'm pretty sure all the lu's I knews said that clitirodectomy was not practiced. Obviously this would be the problem with an entire article based on original research. — anon
