The team names are Saunier Duval-Prodir and Saunier Duval-Scott, and the second sponsor should not be dropped for abbreviation.

Why? The team is the same despite slightly different names. Is there a guideline which suggests otherwise?
SeveroTC 21:19, 21 January 2008 (UTC)reply
I am unaware of an official WP guideline, but I think we should try to keep the style coherent. For example, see the entries for riders in
Silence-Lotto (previously Davitamon-Lotto and Predictor-Lotto), such as
Robbie McEwen and
Cadel Evans (some haven't been updated for 2008 yet, but acknowledge the 2006/2007 change). Even if we collapse all years to a same line, I think the complete team names should be cited, such as in Evans's infobox.

Most articles follow what Mango101 was doing here. I agree in keeping a coherent style so am changing it back.
